MISSIONARY PURPOSE

My purpose as a missionary is to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.”

PROGRESSION LINE UPON LINE

Thoughts after arriving at the MTC: "It's been super awesome hearing about all the mission calls everyone is getting! The work is moving faster and faster every day! It becomes more and more apparent when you see 1,000 missionaries come in every Wednesday!"

Thoughts after leaving the MTC: "It’s a testimony just knowing that the church is right. The things that we’ve learned are true and real. The way I talk about the gospel now is different. The gospel is something that requires action and action is what God wants. It is real. This is what the world needs and I am engaged in the Lord’s work!"

Thoughts after 18 months: “I feel like I can handle anything now! I've learned how I will have a burning witness of the restored church until the day I die. That will be done by constantly seeking out answers to my questions.”

Thoughts after 24 months: "..."

Minä sain tieto että minä menen Tamperelle!

Translated: "Thank you for everything and I'll see you on the other side, or maybe just next week!"

Hey so, sounds like everything is going well over there! My goodness!

How did the Family mission council go?

Well we had a pretty hard yet exciting week. We struggled a bunch (pmg pg 133)

Real quick, A bag of blueberry muffin tops is exaclty what I need! Its one of those cheap cereals from walmart. a small bag would suffice!

It snowed a lot this week. pretty cool! about 20 cm or I think 8 or 9 inches?

Well, Friday was supposed to be change calls and so we were stressed out all day for what was gonna happen. The call never came! We woke up and did all the normal things and then went outside. As we were walking outside President called and asked if we were sitting down! He then told Elder Durrant that he will be training a new missionary here in Kuopio and that I would be opening a new area in Tampere with a new missionary. Its pretty sweet! Tampere has two wards and 4 sets of missionaries now! Im scared out of my mind!

Elder Durrant and I will leave tomorrow to go to Helsinki to pick up our new companions. We arranged it so that we could stop in Tampere on the way down for a few hours so I could take all my stuff to the new apartment. That way I dont have to take all my stuff to Helsinki and then to Tampere with the new guys stuff too! There is a meeting for the senior companions before we meet the new missionaries and its fun because the last time Elder Durrant and I were there we were companions and now we are on the other side still as companions! Also my trainer is training again so he will be there too. He will also be my District leader in the new area! Elder Jefferies is still my hero btw! I hope I can be like him with my new companion!

I made a somewhat small purchase this week. I put snow tires on my bike. They work really nice. Everything is basically covered in Ice. We also use snow tires on our cars.

I said goodbye to the ward yesterday at church and it was so sad. They thanked me in sacrament meeting and I almost cried! I was only here for 9 weeks! Im excited for sure for the this week. Im gonna have no idea where to go in Tampere!

Nothin´ too exciting to report other than I found some socks with the days of the week on them in Finnish! and yes I have busted out the thermals. They work quite well! Package received as well!

Kiitos kaikesta ja Nähdään toisella puolella tai ehka just ensi viikolla!
