MISSIONARY PURPOSE
My purpose as a missionary is to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.”
PROGRESSION LINE UPON LINE
Thoughts after arriving at the MTC: "It's been super awesome hearing about all the mission calls everyone is getting! The work is moving faster and faster every day! It becomes more and more apparent when you see 1,000 missionaries come in every Wednesday!"
Thoughts after leaving the MTC: "It’s a testimony just knowing that the church is right. The things that we’ve learned are true and real. The way I talk about the gospel now is different. The gospel is something that requires action and action is what God wants. It is real. This is what the world needs and I am engaged in the Lord’s work!"
Thoughts after 18 months: “I feel like I can handle anything now! I've learned how I will have a burning witness of the restored church until the day I die. That will be done by constantly seeking out answers to my questions.”
Thoughts after 24 months: "..."

MTC: Letter #2
It was sad to hear about brother Burkins***, im sure the ward is helping to rally around them. thats one of the biggest testaments that the church is true is because church members follow the example of Christ and help those in need. That is something i am working on here. im struggling to forget myself and serve the members of my district. i can feel the blessings coming as i do that.
I saw elder Hendry***x. we sat next to each other during movie time! (we watched The Testamants). i am in the MTC choir with Vanhin Durra***nt and Elder Hendry***x. i sing bass. We have been asked to provide a special choir for easter saturday. we dont know why but ill find out.
The MTC is amazing! the food is first class! not really but its ok. we call our residence "the suite" and have convinced many people that we have queen sized beds! weve been learning so much its mind boggling! i can say with a fair amount of assurity that i know more Finnish than i do spanish and its only been 2 weeks! Kirko on totta (The Church is True) something cool about Finnish is there is a written language and a spoken language. They said they wont teach us the spoken language in the MTC. also whenever mandarin missionaries find out where were going they always say "wow, you got a hard language!" also teachers say "hey, you could be learning Finnish!" the older district of Finns are super cool and helpful. we call them papa Finns and they call us baby finns. Vanhin Spie***rs is here and hes the papa finns district leader. also 16 Finns came the same day i did. its the biggest MTC group to go to finland.
Oh, something sort of cool happened yesterday... M. Russel Ballard came and spoke to us! It was nuts! As he walked in everyone stood up until he sat down and we sang Choose The Right. I also got to be in the Choir during that devotional. It was amazing to hear from an apostle! the spirit is so strong in the MTC its nearly impossible to describe!
Vanhin Durra***nt and I are getting along very well. Im sure that Mom is friends with his mom on missionary moms. we are extremely similar in personality and interests!
Elder Hic***ks should be here in a few hours Ill see if i can find him! oh and Elder Ju***dy's Mission call came! thats so awesome!
Also thanks for the packages! they really make me feel loved!
Im trying to send pictures but i cant figure it out! i got some good ones!
Well i got to go! sorry for the Grammar errors but im blazin through this! we are kept pretty busy here!
Kirko on totta ja Mina rakaastan Sinua!
