Woo! We are almost there!
We have 12 days left in the MTC and we are dying! I am so excited it’s not
funny! This morning we went to the temple and the deal is that when we left the
temple we stop speaking English for the next week. We call it consecration week
and along with that I promised that I would give up Root beer also. This means
I had to give up my three favorite things this week, Elder Hendryx, Root Beer
and being an American! Its rough but its the work of the lord!

So, we have been super busy
this last week. So on Easter Bishop Gerald Causse spoke to us, then that
evening Sheri Dew spoke to us! It was a super star line up on Sunday and we
were all super excited! I sang in the choir at both!

Our spiritual learning is
getting pretty ridiculous! We are learning so much I can’t believe it! One
thing I have found interesting is how we end things in the name of Jesus
Christ. Sometimes at the end of these beautiful prayers we hurry and rush
through His name and say Amen! I would like to ask all of you to think about
why we say His name and what it means when we do. I don’t know the answer but I
do know everything we do as members of the church needs to reflect that.

So Elder Durrant and I
welcomed 6 new Estonian missionaries last week and they are great. One of them
is a swimmer so we talk a lot. We got to demonstrate an effective companionship
inventory and show them around the MTC. It was super fun. They will also be our
next Zone leaders so we are going to let them shadow us for a week. It’s bittersweet
knowing that we are getting released in a week but it’s awesome because we are
going to Finland! We have heard from the papa Finns and they are doing great. They
arrived in Finland at Mid-night and President Rawlings interviewed them until 3
in the morning! The guy is crazy and I can’t wait to talk to him! He has been
making some real changes in the Finland mission.

Our teachers are getting
us ready to begging reviewing all the material we have covered so far so it
should be really good because its hard to remember it all the first time! My
language skills are not the best. I know this because we talk to some native
Finns every once in a while and they can hardly understand me and I can’t
understand a word they say! I’m not worried though because I’m a missionary!

On Monday we got to host
new senior missionaries that were coming into the MTC! It was the funniest
thing I’ve done here so far! They are so nice and just love us for helping
them. My friend Jordan Tuione was helping there as well. One of the couples
even tried to give him money! Mom and Dad I hope you are saving up to go on
another mission soon because it’s got to be the coolest thing ever to be a
senior missionary! You can hold hands with your companion! Haha sorry...

We taught some Finnish RMs
last week at the TRC and they complimented us on our Finnish. It really gave me
a boost that they said they didn’t feel weird when we were teaching. They
laughed a bunch and told us the country is ready for us! I can’t wait any
longer. You can probably tell because I’ve mentioned twice so far.
Um... General Conference
is coming up? Who’s excited? Me! Have you invited the neighbors yet! A prophet
of God is speaking!
Well time is up so now I'm
goanna work on sending some pictures!
Rakasta,
Vanhin Tippetts
