MISSIONARY PURPOSE

My purpose as a missionary is to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.”

PROGRESSION LINE UPON LINE

Thoughts after arriving at the MTC: "It's been super awesome hearing about all the mission calls everyone is getting! The work is moving faster and faster every day! It becomes more and more apparent when you see 1,000 missionaries come in every Wednesday!"

Thoughts after leaving the MTC: "It’s a testimony just knowing that the church is right. The things that we’ve learned are true and real. The way I talk about the gospel now is different. The gospel is something that requires action and action is what God wants. It is real. This is what the world needs and I am engaged in the Lord’s work!"

Thoughts after 18 months: “I feel like I can handle anything now! I've learned how I will have a burning witness of the restored church until the day I die. That will be done by constantly seeking out answers to my questions.”

Thoughts after 24 months: "..."

The land of Santa Clause!

Hello everybody!

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas! Christmas was great over here in the land of Santa Clause!

We had a zone conference and it was incredible as usual.

I dont have much to report on today but I want to share something.

What we really do as missionaries is teach people how to receive personal revelation. Every doctrine in the church always will come back to revelation. The Prophet Joseph Smith said that "Salvation cannot come without revelation and it is vain to administer without it."

We dont realize it but we can literally be receiving answers to our questions all day long.

By reading this email you are obligated to try this! :)

Answer the following questions,

What is the most important relationship you have on earth? (Mom, Dad, Husband, Wife, Son, Sister etc.)

Now, pray about one thing you can do this week to help and show love to that person. Start by addressing Heavenly Father and then tell Him how grateful you are for all the things He helps you with and then just tell Him what is on your mind. Then because Christ is the way back to the Father, we close our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. This can easily be accomplished by saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

The thing that you feel like you should do is revelation and must be done. By doing this you have received individual specific guidance from your Heavenly Father. Boom! Easy as that. Follow that pattern but with other questions and concerns you may have!

The Lord answers prayers because He loves you. Just like how you can talk to your father here on earth and he will talk back, your Father in Heaven will talk back too. This is true. Please right me back and tell me how it went when you did this!

God loves us so much. So do I!
